How to Fix "Unable to Connect to Database" Screen When Starting Skywire POS
If you are receiving the "Unable to Connect to Database" error message after launching SkywWire POS, take the following steps:
- Reboot the zone controller, then the rest of the terminals.
- If that does not work, reboot the zone controller and the rest of the terminals again.
- If that does not work, remote into the zone controller and verify its IP address. Check that the local services, SQL Server, and SQL Browser are running.
- Attempt to ping the other terminals from this PC.
- Verify that the zone controller appears as online on the Sync Dashboard, if not, reboot the terminal until it does.
- Verify terminal name is in the web config is under the correct profit center.
